Job Description

Work with business users to gather requirements and to create specifications for the policy administration application. More specifically, complete the following duties:

  • Facilitate Agile Development practices
  • Manage Insurance and Payment Processing Applications
  • Perform requirement analysis and coordinate business and stakeholder communication
  • Apply NACHA Operating Rules (National Automated Clearing House Association) and Automated Clearing House (ACH)
  • Integrate with various internal systems using Web services
  • Conduct Code Review Sessions and enforce coding standards
  • Manage Application Deployment in different environments, UAT signoff and Production roll outs
  • Perform high level and low level design of policy administration application
  • Create Technical Business Requirement documents
  • Coordinate and manage sequence diagrams and logical architecture diagram
  • Design and develop applications, using Java/J2EE technologies, including Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Web-Services, XML, HTML and databases, including SQL Server, Oracle and DB2
  • Coordinate and track integration testing and user acceptance testing
  • Resolve production issues reported by users
  • Facilitate release and change management, utilizing Jira and Grasshopper
Requirements for the position:

Bachelor of Science or equivalent, in Engineering. Alternative fields of study that may be accepted are Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related.

Must have 2 years of experience in the offered positon, or related position (acceptable alternate titles: Programmer Analyst, or Project Engineer).

Two years experience in:

  • Java/J2EE technologies, including Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Web-Services, XML
  • Databases: including SQL Server, Oracle and Mongo DB2
  • Data management, including 1Sync
  • AS400
  • Insurance products and underwriters, with life insurance corporations

Six months experience in:

  • Analytical reporting
  • PCI Compliance and NACHA Compliance
  • Domain expertise with ecommerce Payment Systems and Card Processing
  • Grasshopper Jira, for release and change management

The position is currently located in Jersey City, NJ, but may require medium to long-term relocation to Cranbury NJ, Pittsburgh, PA, or other unanticipated locations in the US. The position is 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. .
